Our Principles

Our mission, core values, and commitment to equity guide the work we do with one another, our clients, and our partners.

Our Mission & Vision

Educators can be well and teach well.

edwell envisions a future in which all educators have the opportunity to cultivate skills and strategies to enhance their personal lives and professional practice, leading to physical and emotional balance, joy in what they do, and long-term career satisfaction.

We believe in uplifting and empowering educators with the critical wellbeing support that they need to flourish, creating the foundation for sustainable and exceptional school communities.

Our Core Values

  • Wellbeing

We make space for ourselves and others to pursue inner peace and healing.

  • Inclusion

We create a space where everyone genuinely experiences belonging.

  • Awareness

We are committed to a practice of deepening our understanding of ourselves, one another, and our communities.

  • Hope

We understand what is, and are guided by what could be.

  • Integrity

We do the best we can with what we know and the tools we have.

  • Love

We approach one another and our work with genuine appreciation and care.

Our Commitment to Equity

At edwell, we are committed to supporting educators in their fight to dismantle racism and inequity, and we do so by creating space for conversations, tools, and learning to propel the movement. With a wellbeing coach, individuals and groups can critically examine the ways in which systemic racial oppression is upheld in schools and society today. We believe that the core pillars of our approach to wellbeing—self-awareness, self-compassion and resilience—are all critical traits for individuals pursuing social change.

We make an organizational commitment to reflection, learning, and accountability to our values.  Because our approach empowers educators to thrive in their wholeness, our organization strives to center diversity, equity, and inclusion in everything we do. When faced with our blindspots, we will learn and grow in order to drive real change in school communities and to advocate for a just and more equitable future.
